Meditation 3

it seems like there's a lot more going on then it shows on the surface of this meditation. it seems like he is making a lot of different analogies this way and that way almost to distract you from what is going on. i said something about this in the class discussion and i'll restate it here, i almost think he might not be fully convinced himself and he is just saying this for fear of persecution. maybe i'm just being scepticle, i don't know...

i think the fear of being persecuted could play a big part in what he says. If he had stated ideas that went against peoples beliefs back then, it could have put his life in danger and he might be trying to keep that from happening lol.

This meditation definately does have alot of analogies talking about this and that. These analogies may seem a distraction but it is meant to be a meditation. When someone meditates, are all their thoughts logically oraganized? Probably not. Therefore, these analogies prove to be more effective in a meditation.

i guess chris is right about the analogies but that doesn't make them any easier to understand. but i guess i'll look at it again and try to make more out of the analogies.

These analogies are things that you might have never thought about..After you read them they make you think more..almost make you start wondering if they are true and how they work..
